Lenard Dean Boyer was born in Armour, SD on January 10, 2001 to Kelly D. Boyer and Melissa L. Hart. Lenard spent his younger years in the care of his grandmother Arlene Songer whom he loved very much. Due to trying times and the loss of his grandma, Lenard went to live with his Aunt Desiree and Uncle Leonard Boyer.

He was one of the sweetest, loving, caring, and generous young men you would ever have the chance to meet. Lenard would never pass an opportunity to help anyone even if it meant only a hug. He was an outstanding student and a football star.

Lenard was a very outgoing and adventurous person. He loved to spend his time outdoors with family and friends. His brief time here ended in a tragic accident. Lenard was carried home on June 25, 2015 at the age of 14.

Lenard is survived by his biological mother Melissa Hart, biological father Kelly Boyer, his other father and mother—Leonard and Desiree Boyer, brothers Caeden, Cash, Ashton, Zechia, Shaun and Terrance, sisters Haley, Olivia and Priya , grandfather Michael Boyer Sr., aunts and uncles David, Sonja, Michael Jr. and Mardell and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is welcomed home by his grandma Arlene Songer, great grandparents JoAnne and Leonard Songer, great grandmother Louise Boyer, and many cousins.
