Kenneth Fiebelkorn was born May 17, 1947 in Gregory, SD. He was the fifth child of Walter and Evelyn (Hansen) Fiebelkorn. He was an avid sports fan and member of the basketball, baseball, and football teams. Kenny graduated from Gregory High School in 1965.

Kenny enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany for most of his service. He then attended Black Hills State University in Spearfish and received a bachelors degree in education.

Kenny moved to Gillette, WY and married Laura Lattimer. They had two children Kristin and Jennifer.

Kenny taught for a short time in the Gillette School System. Then he worked for Powder River Coal Company for 30 years. Kenny was a city councilmen and a member of the Men's Coal Country board, Gillette Country Club board, and Consumers Federal Credit Union board. He was also a member of the American Legion and an Honor Guard member. Kenny was an eager volunteer and helped with Senior Meals.

Kenny passed away February 11, 2018 at Lake Andes Healthcare Center at the age of 70 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Glenn and sister Vivian.

Kenny is survived by two daughters Kristin (Wes) McKenney, Gillette, WY, and Jennifer (Wayne) Lyke, Maineville, OH; four grandchildren Alex, Paul, Jason, and Tanner; three brothers George (Ada) Fiebelkorn, Atlantic, IA, Bill (Bonnie) Fiebelkorn, Spokane, WA, and Donnie (Diane) Fiebelkorn, Gregory, SD; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services for Kenneth Fiebelkorn, 70, were held Saturday, February 17, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Gregory, SD, with Pastor Marcus Ring officiating. A visitation and prayer service was held Friday evening at Kotrba-Smith Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Serr officiating.

Music was provided by Melanie Hannahs, organist. Congregational hymns were "Be Still My Soul," "Awake O Sleeper Arise From Death," and "The Old Rugged Cross."

Diane Svoboda and Linda Kaupp were in charge of registration.

Flower attendants were Jan Schrader and Kathy Hansen.

Casket Bearers were Jason Lyke, Tanner Lyke, Alexandria Vincent, Paul Vincent, Wayne Fiebelkorn, and Scott Fiebelkorn.

Burial was in the Graceland Cemetery, Burke, SD. Military Honors given by the Gregory American Legion and the National Honor Guard.
