I had the pleasure of getting to Karen over the phone. We share a love for cats. I am a phone volunteer for Independent Living Choices in Sioux Falls SD. I received Karen's contact info about 3 years ago. Unfortunately we didn't get to talk much, with Karen's health taking her to the hospital or for a nursing home stay. She will be missed.

I bowled with Karen off and on for quite a few years. She was a very nice person and always so kind.

Enjoyed working with Karen at the State Library. She always had a smile on her face and worked well with others. Had not seen or heard from here for years when she called a little while ago and talked and talked. Enjoyed that immensely!

I was a classmate of Karen's in Gregory High School. I will remember her as a very quiet person. She was always friendly to all her classmates and ready to help them in any way. She was very smart and well-liked person. I am sure she will be greatly missed.

I graduated from high school in the same class as Karen. I remember her as a serious student and a friend. Later on, I did run into Karen several times at the State Library in Pierre and she assisted me in finding the the right place to go in the library to get my Braille materials for my student. I remember I was so pleased that she even remembered me. My sincere and heartfelt sympathy to all of her family. I am sure she will be greatly missed.

My thoughts and prayers! Karen was my classmate from grade 4 through 12. We also attended the same church, attended VBS, Sunday School and were confirmed into church membership together. I have many fond memories of Karen, a smart, quiet friend who was always thinking of others. Rest In Peace, my friend.
